Stills & Scapes
Still life paintings give me a chance to explore relationships among inanimate objects. They are less demanding than people. In these, it’s the play of shapes and pattern that creates the scene. Partial to curvilinear contours, pears are especially fun to paint for their figurative forms.
Landscapes are not my usual fare, but when in France! Gotta do them! So that’s where most of the landscapes come from. You’ll find them in “Abstractions” too, but disguised.
